Jake and Lucy had an elopement style wedding at the beginning of this year.

This luxe elopement was set in the grounds of the Ashdown Park Hotel, in the heart of East Sussex. With imagination drawn from the elegant surroundings, the couple wanted to create a feeling of intimacy. Their only guest was Rafa the Australian Labradoodle.

Lucy’s wedding day makeup was perfect for the time of year. It was also flattering and suited her skin tones. Lucy has lovely olive skin and dark hair so we could go for a strong smoky eye. To this we used browns to give warmth with black eyeliner to define and make her eyes really stand out. Using a deep red lip to give colour to this cold winter’s day, and matching it to the beautiful bouquet. Lucy’s dress and hair style were very glamorous, so  we kept the same theme with her dramatic make up look.

What She Wore

The bride was dressed in an exquisite Pronovias gown, Albiorix. A semi-illusion mermaid gown with gorgeous star motifs that erupt in streams of glittering embroidery along the spaghetti-strap bodice, fitted waistline, and ornate skirt.

Hair by Roxy

Placement is key to ensure a flattering style that suited Lucy. This is achieved by following her cheekbone structure.

Roxy used a 32mm wand to create soft curls which were pinned to padding for a larger bun.

Leaving a few tendrils softened her hair style and keeping body at the front ensures her hair looks stunning from all angles. Using sgx_nyc do it all texture spray to add body at the root and redken wax blast for definition and to tame small fly always. Finished off with Morocann oil medium hold hair spray.

Key elements to creating this look, were winter warming reds in the bouquet, a matching dramatic lip for the bride and bleached foliage for the bridal hair accessories.
